Petalicious Cuff by Melanie Potter
Color Palette Featured:
Jet & Sapphire
Woven Links Lariat is a wonderful flowing lariat made with interlocking beaded chain loops that alternate in color.  The chain links are soft and supple but keep their form by the nature of the way they each hang on one another.  The feel of this lariat is very soft and smooth.  Melanie uses chevron chain for the main stitch so it goes very fast and fairly easy to weave the links. Once you get the stitching down for one you just continue on to the length as needed. Dangling on the end of the lariat at each end are two lovely tassels studded with sparkling Swarovski crystals.  These tassels are strung and terminated with little hanging magatamas.  The top of the tastles are beaded with these cute little peyote pagoda style square caps.

You can bead the lariat to the length that works for you.  It is worn in the style of a 1920's type lariat with either one or two wraps around the neck and a simple tie in the front to hold the two tassel ends together.  It flows and shows off whatever you might want to accent.

Petalicious Cuff Fuschia Color WayYou will love beading this even if you have very little experience in bead weaving.  Melanie takes you through it step by step as you make each of the chain links and as you build the clever pagoda tassels.  When you are done  you will love wearing it too.  Woven Links is simple enough to go with any outfit, but just flashy enough to add to a dressy occasion as well.

The kit includes all the beads you will need to make the lariat as well as Melanie's excellent  color illustrated instructions.
